Why I Created Touch Me in Petals

Some products are born from an idea.

Others are born from a conversation.

Touch Me in Petals Illuminating Body Oil exists because so many of you asked for one more step.

When I created Cheeky & Sultry Goddess Body Scrub, I wanted it to feel like the spirit of South Florida: confident, radiant, playful, and just a little irresistible. I wanted it to be more than an exfoliating scrub. I wanted it to feel like the beginning of getting ready, the moment when the music turns on and you start feeling like yourself again.

What I didn’t expect was what happened next.

Customers would finish trying the scrub, smile, and ask the same question.

“Do you have anything that smells like this?”

Not another scrub.

Not another cream.

Something they could apply afterward.

Something that would let the scent stay with them.

I listened.

That’s how Touch Me in Petals Illuminating Body Oil was born.

From the beginning, I wanted the name to be literal.

I wanted the finished skin to feel as though it had been touched by petals: soft, silky, weightless, and beautifully luminous.

The formula had to deliver that feeling.

After studying countless botanical oils, I kept returning to one pairing that felt exactly right: passion fruit oil and jojoba oil.

Passion fruit oil brings an elegant, lightweight feel that I rarely see used the way I wanted to use it. It glides across the skin beautifully, leaving it feeling nourished without becoming heavy. Jojoba oil complements it perfectly, helping create a finish that feels balanced, silky, and incredibly comfortable.

Together, they created the experience I had imagined from the very beginning.

I also chose to include a carefully selected clay, not only for its soft-focus finish but because every ingredient in a Butter & Blush formula should contribute something meaningful.

Then came the glow.

I didn’t want glitter.

I didn’t want shimmer that looked obvious or transferred onto clothing.

I wanted the skin itself to look illuminated, as though it had naturally caught the last light of the afternoon.

A carefully selected cosmetic colorant allowed me to create that effect safely, leaving behind a luminous finish that layers beautifully over the skin while staying exactly where it belongs.

Every decision was intentional.

The oils.

The glow.

The texture.

The fragrance.

Nothing was added simply because it looked beautiful.

It had to feel beautiful too.
