The most important formula we ever made wasn’t meant to become a product.
Butter & Blush did not begin as a business plan. It began as an act of love, at the hardest moment of our founder’s life. This is the story of how one formula became a beauty house.
The first formula was made for one woman.
Butter & Blush began with a diagnosis. When my mother was diagnosed with cancer, I became obsessed with one question: what, exactly, was touching her skin?
She often complained that she could never find a moisturizer she truly loved. Something nourishing. Something elegant. Something she could trust. I decided that if I couldn’t find it, I would make it myself. Not for a business. For her.
One formulation became ten. Ten became forty. Every version was questioned, refined and started again. The seventy-second felt different. It became Luscious Boosting Water Cream. It also became Butter & Blush.
Love is our reason. Science is how we honor it.
That is the story no one else can tell.
A young house, born into today’s science.
Butter & Blush is a young luxury beauty house, and we consider that our greatest freedom. We were never bound to legacy formulas or asked to protect the past. We began with a blank page and the full reach of modern cosmetic science.
Every formula is created in-house, drawn from a raw materials library of more than five hundred ingredients. From the very first product, we have worked with modern biotechnology, marine actives, advanced peptides, probiotic ferments and botanicals of exceptional character.
We weren’t born into legacy. We were born into possibility.
The Founder
Virginia Landi
Butter & Blush was built where love, curiosity and cosmetic science meet. Virginia holds an MBA and spent years building brands before creating her own. She later studied cosmetic formulation in Rome, where she focused on developing gentle, high-performance formulations for children before expanding that philosophy into the Butter & Blush collection.
By combining both worlds, she created an independent beauty house where every formula is imagined, developed and refined entirely in-house, under her direction, from first concept to final texture.
Nicole Fuentes
Operations DirectorIf Virginia gives Butter & Blush its formulas, Nicole gives it its rhythm. As Operations Director, and as the founder’s daughter, she has been part of the house since its very first day.
Nicole looks after the quiet details that make luxury feel effortless: the way an order is prepared, the way a shelf is arranged, the way a question is answered. Her craft is consistency, so that every Butter & Blush ritual feels exactly as it was meant to feel, every single time.
Luxury is a promise kept. Keeping it is her art.
